5 Questions to Ask Your Inner Child to Harness Your Unique Manifesting Magic

5 Questions to Ask Your Inner Child to Harness Your Unique Manifesting Magic

In this week’s blog, I talk about the relevance of the inner child on this journey and how asking yourself these 5 questions can get you closer to uncovering your unique brand of manifesting magic.

The Soul’d Approach is truly for those of us who feel that they have a calling. I’m one of them.

Let’s start with what a calling is – it’s where you feel a deeper connection to the work that you do so much so that it almost feels like you were called to do it by something outside of you and inside of you. That’s the divine – outside of you and inside of you – leading you. And since your soul path and career path are intertwined, your higher purpose is connected to a higher power. And so therefore it is also divinely guided and protected.

But the problem with modern day business building is that we are taught that our passion cannot be the same as our work. Or that we have to hustle to make the business work out. Or that we have to sacrifice ourselves through our time, energy, integrity and boundaries in order to make it work. None of this is true. We’ve been fed lies from those who chose to take the path of a hustle. We’ve been fed lies from those who had to work hard and make sacrifices to achieve their dreams. We’ve been fed lies from those who said that their way is the only way.

But we know better…

I know that if you’re listening here now, you know deep down in your bones that there is a way to show up for our calling that doesn’t drain us or deplete us. There is a way to show up for your calling in a way that isn’t going to feel out of alignment with who we are. There is a way to show up that actually feels good and in integrity and empowering.

Here are the 3 questions:

Number 1: What is your ultimate act of rebellion from how you were programmed to be and do?

This is my favorite question because if you’re answering it right, then you’re also going to ask yourself: “How dare I?” How dare you do something you know goes against everything you were taught to believe about how you need to move through the world? That is how far I want you to take this question. For me, my greatest act of rebellion is doing nothing. Because, for most of my life, I received praise, approval and validation from over-doing, over-achieving, performing, perfecting and people pleasing. Going forward, it’s a no from me. Anything that pulls my energy away from me and feels totally out of alignment with me is a no.

Number 2: What would you love to savor more of if you could?

Childhood in and of itself is fully living in the present moment. That’s why kids slow us down with their questions, their observations, their dawdling near us. It’s just part of what they bring to the table. When we slow down with them, we learn to savor the moment. We remember what it’s like to do things just to experience them.

Number 3: What do most think of as “normal” that you think is actually a destructive way to live and relate?

I come from a lineage of entrepreneurs. It’s normal to hustle. It’s normal to fight for your worth. It’s normal to think it’s a dog eat dog world. I couldn’t keep up with that way of thinking because it isn’t me. It’s not who I am. At my core, my essence is unconditional love – first and foremost for myself. I’m not going to do anything or think in any way that’s going to devalue my essence. And so, the old way of being in business is not possible for me. I move by faith. I move by alignment. I move by trust. And by the knowing that no matter what happens, it’s all for my highest good.

Number 4: What actually is the scariest thing for you to do?

For me, it’s relying on anyone but me. It’s depending on a higher power to guide me. It’s releasing control. It’s releasing the outcome. It’s doing nothing – absolutely nothing – while the ship feels like it’s sinking. It’s letting myself be carried. It’s letting myself be held. It’s believing in something that is there that I cannot see – whether it’s a path, or a plan, or even an angel working behind the scenes – it’s fully releasing the grip that I have had on life and free falling into what feels like nothing but what I know must be something because I didn’t come this far for nothing. That is the scariest thing for me to do.

Number 5: What is your heart truly longing for?

This one takes some discernment, because our mind is really good at strategizing around our heart’s desires. My heart longing to be held. My heart longs to be seen just as who I am. My heart longs to be loved just as who I am. In business in particular, my heart longs to share my message in a way that feels fulfilling to me – which it always does – but it also wants to be found, discovered, amplified and provided for by a greater power. It wants final say in what is truly aligned for me. It wants to dwell in peace. It is already complete, but now it wants to feel expansive. That’s truly what I long for. When you focus on what your heart truly longs for, without getting in your head about how to make it happen, that’s when you invite life and a higher power to take over.

Here’s the thing about the work of getting to the heart of it, to the truth of it, to your essence. It’s not for the faint of heart. It’s not for those looking for a quick fix. It’s not for those who are not willing to sacrifice anything and everything that once held weight and power in their lives.

When I think about my work and my beliefs around marketing and manifesting with nothing but our essence, I do get some trepidation about the pushback. Because, honestly, it goes against everything we’ve been taught to believe about life and how to move in it… especially for business owners.

But it’s my calling. It’s my way forward. It’s the thing that set me free.

I’m sure that I will get the statements: “she’s just lucky,” or “she’s lying about how much she worked behind the scenes,” or “that’s not real life,” or “how irresponsible.”

That last one is my favorite, because it still has a bit of a sting to it within me.

Here’s the truth:

First of all, I’m not lucky. I’m aligned. I was letting all of the judgements within me and around me to dissolve by taking myself as low as I could go – meaning looking at the depths of myself, all of my shadows – fully conscious of this process and allowing it to happen. Every time I made it through a layer, there was another layer to go. I had to shed so much to get here, to get closer to my essence, so that I could see, feel and then rewrite all of those patterns and behaviors and beliefs that kept me so stuck and stagnant in all areas of my life.

And in this process, I was becoming more and more aligned with my essence, with my soul. I could feel it. Every layer I broke through brought me to another one but it kept getting easier and easier to unravel each layer as I would go. And that’s because I was getting better at the process of unraveling myself, of discovering myself.

Second of all, I did do a lot of work behind the scenes, but not in the way that you might think. It was an inside job. Every Marketing Method I channeled took me inside of myself where I had to look for the deeper clarity and the deeper truths about why what I do matters so much to me. From there, every Money Method had me look at myself from the perspective of how I am contained – my self-trust, my self-concept and my relationship with and to power, love and the divine. Those methods helped me uncover all of the ways I was downgrading and diminishing my value and taught me how to fill it back up again and then expand it outwards. I did this without hustling for anything outside of myself. This all happened within me.

Thirdly, I didn’t think this was real life either. I remember even thinking after I released The Money Methods and still very much moving through them that I may have gotten something wrong… But I didn’t. Life was simply catching up with me. I created the vessel within myself that allowed the divine to pour into me, and my faith was restored in ways I cannot even explain. I wasn’t “waiting” for anything to happen. I was living in the frequency of everything already happening. I was integrating. I was renewing myself. I was expecting life to show me the way. And it did.

And finally, words like lazy, irresponsible, reckless and whatever else people want to term the work of releasing our attachments to society’s programming and systems that keep us small and separate us from ourselves and the divine – can absolutely be used to describe this work. But it doesn’t actually mean anything to me, because that’s what those people would think of themselves if they were in my shoes. It has nothing to do with me. It’s all a projection of their own judgements… which is exactly what the methods help us to release.

If this is singing to you, head to the Get Guidance page of my website where you can find both the self-study program featuring The Marketing Methods and the membership featuring The Money Methods. These methods are not roadmaps but rather mirrors – they take you on a journey of self-discovery back to yourself so that you can market yourself and manifest with nothing but the essence that is you.
