Why I Created The L.I.F.E. Method (& Why Alignment Matters)

Why I Created The L.I.F.E. Method (& Why Alignment Matters)

During my really busy weeks with a big workload and lots of projects in the queue, alignment is priority number one. I not only double down at my desk.

I double down on my mat too.

The activities that keep me aligned are what I prioritize no matter what’s in the queue for the week.

Whether it’s meditation, cycle syncing, solo strolls in the sunshine, a sweaty strength training sesh… I put it on the schedule first.

The L.I.F.E. Method makes it possible for me to create a day-to-day based on: me.

Because you can’t show up for your business if you can’t show up for yourself first.

And to be honest…

The moment I started prioritizing myself was the moment everything changed for me.

✨ I showed up for my marriage differently.

✨ I showed up for my kids differently.

✨ I showed up for my relationships differently.

✨ I showed up for my business differently.

I created The LIFE Method because there was nothing else out there that could lead me back to alignment with myself.

A practical approach to creating a new way of being simply didn’t exist.

I wanted something tangible, something I could do on my own, in my own time, and something that would get me aligned and on the right path asap.

What would happen in your life and business if you did the same?

When you don’t prioritize you, your business can’t thrive. Because then you’re unable and unwilling and unaligned to show up for it.

Despite what a million other coaches will tell you: you are the business.

You. Are. The. Business.

So nurture and nourish yourself like you are.

The L.I.F.E. Method quite literally helps you base your entire day-to-day on YOUR source of power, YOUR innate being, and what makes you, YOU.

The things that energize you, that keep you sane, that fuel you and bring you back to your why are the pieces of you that not only sustain you…

They represent the essence of you that you are selling, too.

What you’re *actually* selling is hidden in the transformation you are representing.

Read that again. (And more on this soon, tbh.)

This is your essence coming alive through your business. This is embodying your work. This is walking the talk. This is the next paradigm of marketing.

Let The L.I.F.E. Method align you to it.

How Marketing + Alignment Collide

How Marketing and Alignment Collide

Marketing your business, particularly in this online space, is all about how you show up for it.

Are you walking the talk?

Are you leading by example?

Are you showing up for yourself so that you can show up for others in a way that is aligned to your word, your truth, your message?

Or do you show up one way online and then as a totally different person offline?

For example…

Meditating is how I greet the day, every day.

Meaning: This is how I become stronger, wiser, smarter, more resilient, clearer, a better mother, wife, leader, boss, entrepreneur, business owner, creator, manifester, and more.

No matter the day, whether it’s a Monday or a Sunday, I make time and space for my practices that keep me aligned, empowered and thriving.

Because I’ve built an aligned foundation for myself that allows me to teach others how to do the same.

And what does this have to do with marketing a business?

The things that we are aligned with are more than likely what our ideal customers are aligned with.

This is how you walk the talk. This is how you embody your work. This is how you lead by example.

This is how you show up… to sell.

Because more often than not, how you show up is what you are actually selling.

Be the vibe.

Welcome to A New Season of Transformation

Welcome to A New Season of Transformation

Welcome to a new season of transformation.

I’ve taken some time away from my work this summer… mostly to realign. I’ve also invested in myself, especially in my well-being, and as a result, my business is emerging once again, reborn, renewed and revitalized.

Here’s the truth: as an entrepreneur, you’re on a never-ending journey of self-discovery.

This is WONDERFUL because you get to decide:

  1. To begin a new routine, a new strategy, a fresh start for greater ease and alignment…
  2. To end old patterns, behaviors and structures that don’t support your alignment…

Because, as always within a journey, you will get to a point of uncharted territory.

Old patterns and behaviors aren’t the go-to anymore. Old ways of being and doing aren’t serving you anymore. The old you simply… just… can’t continue.

But there’s beauty in this moment… if you let it be beautiful.

Something else takes over. Something healing. Something more loving.

That something is you, emerging stronger, wiser, and better than ever.

Like a literal phoenix rising from the ashes.

If you’re on this journey too… burn, baby, burn. Re-align like your life depends on it, because it does.

Your business depends on you – that new version of you that will heal you, save you, free you.

You’ve got what you need to pick up the pieces, pivot and get after it.

You’ve got what it takes to enjoy your business, to relish in marketing it, to truly love being a business owner.

Building a business, either after a pivot or from the ground up, *can* be fun. It *can* be flowy.

You just need to create the structure to *hold* the flow, fun and ease.

That’s truly what you’re craving, isn’t it?

That’s where The L.I.F.E. Method comes in. And I’ve remastered it once again to reflect this truth, so that you can really get to the root of alignment and gain clarity in your next steps.

We all want our businesses to be aligned to who we are, what we stand for, how we want to make money and how all of this will sustain us.

The L.I.F.E. Method provides the structure *and* the alignment.

If you haven’t done so yet, give it a try!

The most you’ll get out of it? An entirely new way of being.

The least? Greater self-discovery.

Talk about transformation, huh?

I Make Marketing Fun

I Make Marketing Fun

This time away from my business has given me so much clarity.

I’ve realized that I have been, for quite some time, overcomplicating what I do and how.

Because I too believed in the lie that business has to be hard, that marketing has to be hard, that what I sell has to be overly complex.

But it doesn’t.

Do you want to know what I do?

Let me sum it up for you:

You know how so many of us hate marketing ourselves? It’s overwhelming and frustrating and hard.

And yet, it’s something that must be done if we want to make money doing what we love.

So, I’ve created a way to make it fun, simply by making it aligned and authentic to you.

Marketing can be exciting, and magical and something you actually look forward to.

Because you are worthy of feeling ease and flow within your business.

The truth is: I can be one of those marketing consultants who throws every strategy on the planet at you.

But if it’s not your vibe, if you don’t believe in it, desire it, or want anything to do with it, it’s not going to serve you or your business.

Doing what’s aligned will.

I’m in the process of a rebrand. All of my offerings are being reconfigured with this end goal. And it’s going to be straight up magical.

See you on the other side.

How to Know You’re On the Right Track

How to Know You’re On the Right Track

How do I know if I’m on the right track? Well, lately…

I’ve been doing something crazy.

I took off the summer.

Made it a vacation for myself and the boys.

Unplugged. Relaxed. Had fun.

And it was wonderful.

Because it made me realize that I’m done.

  • Done feeling like I’m obligated to show up in any way that isn’t aligned with me.
  • Done feeling like I have to build my business based on what the experts have to say.
  • Done feeling like I can’t shine too bright.

I think it’s time for a refreshing perspective about what business *can* be about.

Your business is allowed to flow through you, around you, and from you – based on you and you alone.

The direction of it, the vibe of it, the way that it provides for you, lights you up, gives you an outlet for creativity, service and expression… the entirety of your business is up to you.

The worst thing you can do for your business is follow someone else’s path. It simply wasn’t meant for you.

But if the direction you’re taking feels inspired..

If it feels guided…

If it lights you up…

If it gives you that feeling of “yay” and “I’ve got this”…

If it compels you to love yourself and appreciate yourself in a deeper way…

You’re right on track.

Get to the Heart of it

Get to the Heart of It

For all my business owners: this heart-felt blog is especially for you!

There are likely hundreds, if not thousands, of people just like you with the same skillset, knowledge and expertise.

They are also probably following the same formulas, strategies, scripts and to do lists to market themselves.

Except you’ve got one thing that they don’t have…

You are the heart of your business.

And knowing this likely answers all of your business building and marketing questions.

When we reduce marketing to formulas, strategies, scripts and to do lists, we can lose the heart of what we do and why we do it in the first place.

If you want to:

Sell more, be seen more, make a bigger impact, be a greater leader, share more effectively, manage your time better, feel aligned, embodied and empowered…

Then get to the HEART of it.

Your Permission to Break the Rules

This is Your Permission to Break the Rules

I don’t know about you but I’m so done following the rules… your rules, their rules, heck, even my own rules!

From the absurdities of the social algorithms to the policing of content by followers and non-followers alike, it’s all just utterly ridiculous.

And it takes the fun out of what we’re all doing on social media.

We’re here to connect, learn new things, take in other opinions, be entertained, share our joys, our struggles, our human experiences.

Sometimes all that is holding us back is the fear of being seen…

…As humans with challenges and struggles,

…As someone who wears many hats (mom, wife, boss, goddess divine…),

…As an individual with many interests, hobbies, skills, and talents.

You don’t have to share anything. You can also share everything.

What would happen if you decided to make social media a little more playful?

What would you share if you decided to incorporate more *play* into your social strategy?

How can you infuse more fun in the connecting process?

We’ve become so mechanical… the user has quite literally become the computer.

Sameness does not mean oneness. Uniformity does not mean unity.

I love sharing my life… not because I think it’s aspirational or influential or anything like that.

I share it because it’s my source of joy. It’s my source of inspiration. I share my ups, my downs, my highs, my lows, my story, because connecting – with all of the parts of me I wish to share on here – is meaningful to me. And fun. And that’s OKAY.

So, #sorrynotsorry but if you see me sharing more of me, different sides of me, various pieces of me, myself and I, you can either embrace it or keep it moving.

I’m here to have some fun. Who’s with me?!

What Does Failure Actually Mean to You?

What Does Failure Actually Mean to You?

Has this thought ever crossed your mind? “I feel like I’m a failure in business.”

First of all: you’re not alone. This thought has crossed my mind more often than not in my nearly 10 years as a business owner.

“I had a (launch/client/project/contract/etc.) that flopped and fell through. And therefore, I failed.” -Said every entrepreneur, ever.

And so I’ve been thinking a lot about failure lately… What does it really mean to me?

I took a backwards, inside-out approach to this question (which is a very common approach I take to just about everything)…

If success to me means self-mastery, well then what does failure mean?

And yet none of this is possible.

…So therefore failure isn’t possible.

We base our entire concept of failure not by looking at ourselves, but by looking at others… what they are doing, saying, sharing versus what we aren’t doing, saying, sharing.

So, what if we truly focus on ourselves… what would we see?

If I focus, I’m able to look at every single launch, project, client, contract and deal from my past and see the bigger picture: the experience that was needed, the lesson that was learned and the wisdom that was gained.

And a perceived failure is just an opportunity for a pivot. A soul-powered pivot.

A failure (or see: blip, challenge, obstacle, etc.) just means that you’re being realigned towards what you actually want, what you truly need, and what you very much desire.

And simply acknowledging and owning that takes consciousness, clarity and a heck of a lot of conviction.

The Soul-Powered Business Program will soon change to The Soul-Powered Pivot Program as a self-study-only version. Opening date to be released soon. 💕

Where is your compass pointing?

Where Is Your Compass Pointing?

Lemme tell you about the summer vibe I’m all about right now…

Over here, in my corner of the world, we’ve been: spending time outside, adventuring together as a family, and seriously reducing our “working” hours.

As a result: I’ve shown up online a little less. I’ve focused my marketing efforts towards a relational approach (communities, networking, etc.) I’ve spent most of my “working time” restructuring my program to a self-study-only model.

But I’ve also felt some major resistance to all of the above. Because… expectations.

Here’s the thing about expectations – they are often a reflection of the social mirror rather than our own values and priorities. I “should” show up more online. I “should” use all marketing tools at my disposal. I “should” spend more time creating, innovating, launching, selling.

But deep down, I want my summers to be family-focused. I didn’t become a business owner to sacrifice my well being and time with my kids. I want to be outside and feel the sunshine. I like being the summer camp counselor to my boys with my visor and matching fanny pack.

Because I know that just like the summer season, and any season, this season of life shall pass, too.

So, next time you get frustrated about ANYTHING related to business building, think about whether or not it’s because of an expectation that might be out of alignment with your values and priorities.

So, how do we get clear on our unique values and priorities?

Instead of thinking about what you value and what you prioritize from the lens of a roadmap…

Think about it from the lens of a compass. What is your true north leading you to?

What gets one person from point A to point B might not look the same for you.

The greatest minds in the business building arena aren’t sharing cookie cutter processes.

They’re sharing ways in which you can discover your own unique, one-of-a-kind process for creating your unique, one-of-a-kind success. A compass, not a roadmap.

Have you noticed a trend happening all around us?

The way we do business is changing. The way we market is changing.

And if you let it, your heart will begin to pull you towards the leaders who are truly leading you back to yourself – your innate knowing, truth and being.

You know more than you think.

You’re capable of more than you think.

Let your compass guide you.

And if you feel compelled for some guidance, take a look at my now digitally remastered L.I.F.E. Method – an approach to building an aligned life and business that puts you at the center of it all.

Back in the sunshine we go.

You Are Making a Difference - Trust Me!

You’re Making a Difference – Trust Me!

Over the past few weeks, I surveyed my community (which is something I typically do, mid-summer.) I do it to see how I can recharge my content, rejuvenate my messaging, but mostly to see if what I am doing is making a difference.

The turnout of responses was the largest of my career.

One of the questions on the survey was, “What is one thing you love learning from me?”

And the responses included the following:

  • Following your passion, facing challenges.
  • Everything I know about you.
  • To stay in line with my passion and calling.
  • Being non judgemental about people’s fears and breaking it down into manageable, non-intimidating steps.
  • Your message is really important, to stay authentic to yourself.
  • You inspire me to want to stretch myself while also being compassionate. I don’t feel judged, which can be paralyzing.
  • I love that you are committed to your business and that you continuously show up. I also like your newer messaging around being yourself and not copying others.
  • You are just such a guiding light for those of us who feel lost and alone in the world of entrepreneurship.

Wow. Beaming.

The point of this is not to toot my own horn (even though I am proud of myself for being 100% responsible for this feedback), it is also a loving reminder that what you put out into the world matters.

You are being seen, even if you feel invisible.

You are being heard, even if the outside noise feels loud.

You are making a difference in someone’s life, even if the impact feels small.

Keep going. Spread your light. The world needs it.

I’m here for it, cheering you on.
