Not A Lot of Entrepreneurs Talk About This…

Not a lot of entrepreneurs talk about this…

This week on the Soul’d podcast I’m addressing the overwhelming (and sometimes even crippling) fear of what our peers might think of us about what we’re doing.

And it hits all the things…

  • Comparisonitis
  • Imposter Syndrome
  • Perfectionist Problems

Not a lot of entrepreneurs say this in spaces like IG, etc.

But showing up here is hard.

Especially if you’re like me and have a deep and long history of being bullied, labeled, excluded, gossiped about…

To this day, making friends (particularly with women) makes me a little uneasy.

To this day, posting a picture of myself instantly has me thinking, “what will they assume about me?”

To this day, sharing what’s on my mind, in my heart and some of my more vulnerable feelings, makes me a little queasy.

AND:

I’m so proud of who I’ve become, what I’m capable of now, and where my vision is guiding me.

A coach and mentor of mine (whom I deeply respect) has said over and over again: If you’re not living on the edge, you’re not living.

I make sure to put myself on the edge every damn day.

And believe it or not, it’s starting to feel safer there. I’ve witnessed my worth and value grow there. And, I’m able to hold more of myself and see more of myself there.

If that’s not magic, I dunno what else is.

So, if you’re thinking, “what if they think I’m weird?,” you’ve found the space where the magic is. That’s the edge.

I hope you choose to fly.
