If the stuck version of you is the contracted version of you, then the free, active, ever-moving, ever-growing version of you is the expansive version of you. The expansive version of you is what sets you free. It’s what brings you back to life. It’s your higher self.
So, let’s take a moment to dive into the “stuck” that you’re currently in.
Number 1: You’re not stuck, you’re expecting to drift into success.
This one is tricky because it took me awhile to learn this for myself too. I too have gone too far deep into the manifestation matrix where it’s just too much energetics and not enough aligned action. We want to believe that if we can just “be” in the vibe of what we desire, it will find its way to us. And yes, that’s totally part of it, but I can promise you that 1) the easiest way to be in the vibe of it is to shed everything that’s stopping you from being in the vibe of it, and 2) tricking yourself by relying on crystals, or throwing cinnamon out your front door, or setting alarms on your phone to make you think that you’re making sales – is only going to raise your vibration momentarily. The inner transformation must happen in order for the outer transformation to happen.
Nobody has ever drifted to success. Entrepreneurship is a journey of self-discovery but it’s also a climb. Have you ever seen anyone drift to the top of a mountain? No, but you have seen entrepreneurs overcome their fears of visibility, of success, of making an impact, of being providers. The mountain requires a reach. Every step requires a reach, and sometimes, the first step is simply having a willing heart. Do you have the willingness to reach for the next step, because the Universe, Source, God – whatever you want to believe in – will meet you there. That’s how you build momentum – moment to moment – seizing each one and looking for the reach, which is sometimes quite a stretch, in order to get to where you want to be. This is the definition of growth. This is how you build success. This is how you become unstuck.
Number 2: You’re not stuck, you’re afraid of getting visible.
The more visibility you get, the more eyes you have on you. Does that freak you out? If it does, you might have a fear around visibility. This doesn’t necessarily mean public speaking or being on stage – many entrepreneurs experience stage freight. I’m talking about more eyes meaning more chances for rejection, for criticism, for being called out, for being cancelled, for being wrong, for being unchosen. My fear of visibility was rooted in the fear of being unchosen, of not being good enough to be chosen. However, once I started to return to my essence – which is already enough because it’s who I truly am – I chose me. And the more I chose me, the fear of visibility diminished because I no longer needed to be chosen by anyone but me.
When you move past this fear, you start to gain access to deeper truths about your work that you can share. So essentially, you move past the surface level points of your business – your modalities, your skillset, your credentials – and you start focusing on selling something real and relatable and rooted within you. It’s because it’s reflective of your essence which again is already good enough and already chosen. The difference is, you know it now. Visibility can feel safe now because you are safe in resting in what you know now.
Number 3: You’re not stuck, you’re not believing in you.
Think about all of the times you diminished yourself when things all of a sudden got challenging – all of the times that you thought about giving up on yourself. Every moment that you pulled back on your divine purpose to instead put your focus elsewhere, was a moment where you consciously or unconsciously decided that you weren’t worth it. You weren’t worth the extra step. You weren’t worth sticking it out. You weren’t worth another chance.
But on the flip side, every moment you decided that you were going to keep going was a moment where you remembered your worth. You remembered why you came here. You remembered your bigger purpose. You remembered that you have a higher calling that was bestowed on you by a higher power and that there is a version of you who knows how to see it through. There has to be. Because the only energy that can get in the way of you fulfilling your calling is the version of you who doesn’t believe in you.
One of the reasons I called my business Soul’d is because it’s about selling with soul. But here’s the thing, you can’t sell with soul unless you’re soul’d on you first. Nobody is going to believe in you more than you believe in yourself. Nobody is going to make you move more effectively and more purposefully than you will move yourself. Nobody is going to make this happen but you. So, lock in.
Number 4: You’re not stuck, the contracted version of you is still taking the lead.
The contracted version of me loves to stay stuck. The contracted version of me loves to get distracted. The contracted version of me would so much rather put someone else in the driver’s seat, because let’s be real, entrepreneurship can be intense and overwhelming and exhausting and scary. But it’s also the greatest thing I will ever be able to do for myself – to provide for me and my boys, to be able to nourish my life with the impact that I am making that is rooted in something that is truly good for humanity and for other entrepreneurs as well.
We don’t even know it when we’re in it, but the contracted version of us is in a prison, and we actually have the keys out. We’ve had them all along. We say we’re scared of the unknown, of what lies ahead, of doing hard things, of making bigger decisions, of having responsibility. I can promise you – the hell that you are in now is so much harder. It’s so much harder to dwell in a space where you are unable to live or pay your bills or experience more of life or keep things surface-level or take zero risks. It’s so much harder to be stuck where you are right now. The expansive version of you will set you free.
In order to fully move past this contracted version of me and fully recalibrate my energy, I had to do three things:
Number 1: I had to get very familiar with my energy.
This required me getting really familiar with who I am, what I stand for, what I actually value, what lights me up, what makes me move, what motivates me, what leaves me feeling depleted, the things that drain me, the things that fill me up. All of this had to be realized and realigned. It’s impossible to recalibrate your energy if you don’t understand how it operates and what it requires to move properly. You’re literally finding out what energizes you and what kills your energy. That’s the simplest way to explain it. As you get more familiar with your energy, you simultaneously get more familiar with your essence. Your essence is the expression of your energy. It’s your energetic signature. It’s your universal signal. It’s your highest frequency. As you get more acquainted with that, you can then use your energy more appropriately.
Number 2: I had to start releasing and receiving energy appropriately.
By releasing, I mean letting go, saying no, leaving behind the people, places, projects that are no longer aligned. This also meant forgiveness in a lot of ways, because often our energy is affected by what we’re still holding onto – guilt, resentment, old wounds. By receiving, I mean taking in, calling in, being open to opportunities, possibilities and next steps. This also means being able to receive more of me – my power, my vitality, my deeper truths that longed to be shared and taking action on all of that. The more I released, the more I was able to receive and truly become divinely resourced. Becoming divinely resourced requires a full letting go – a full shed – of everything that dims your essence and depletes it.
Number 3: I had to master my energy.
Only when you can steward your energy in integrity, you can then be divinely resourced to move forward on your mission. This is essentially about being a good steward of your internal and external resources. But it doesn’t mean good and bad or right and wrong. This isn’t about getting caught up in being a good girl or being obedient to a certain religion. This about being free of all of the BS of the world that makes you and your worth dependent on anything but your whole heart. This is about honoring your higher self – your higher self, not anyone else’s – and being obedient to that version of you. That’s how you close the gap.
