Remember Why You Started Your Business

Remember Why You Started Your Business

This week I celebrated my 34th birthday and my 8-year business anniversary. Normally I celebrate “out loud” with events, parties, friends and social activities. This year though, I went within myself. I reflected.

June has been a particularly challenging month for me. I still feel as though I’m in new territory with my business (ever since my pivot last year), and because of this, I still worry a lot about where this is all going… and whether or not I can truly make it happen. I assume many entrepreneurs also get these thoughts time to time.

So to dig deeper into this, a wise friend told me to think back on my why. “Why did I start this business? And most importantly, why did I pivot?”

Was it seriously just to make money? No, I can make money doing anything.

Was it to put myself on display and become “influential” and generate a large following? No. I don’t need that type of validation.

I started this business to serve. And if I’m going to serve others, it’s going to be through the only way that truly know how… Guiding you to show up, be seen and shine through soul-led, intentional marketing.

  • Because I know what it feels like to be in a stressful 9 to 5 office job, with the deep desire to live each day on my own schedule without having anyone to answer to but me.
  • Because I know what it feels like to have a deep passion for something that matters to me and a profound longing to share it with others.
  • Because I know what it feels like to wake up in the middle of the night anxious and scared that I won’t be able to make a living doing the ONLY thing that lights me up.
  • Because I know what it feels like when I impact another person through sharing that light – by simply being myself and doing what I do best.

There is no one right way to build the business that you want. All it takes is for you to own your brilliance, create your vision and step into the powerful leader that you are.

I’ve figured out the pieces of business building that actually matter, that have the power to disrupt the business building process and make it truly empowering, fun and even magical for those willing to do the work. And it does take work to build the life and business of your dreams.

So… for one more week, my signature program is available for 50% off – the only time I will ever make this type of offering available.

Are you ready to do the work and fulfill your why?
